New paintings, hot off the easel, and some thoughts on art and life ...

A dog!

That's right - not a flower, but something warm and furry as the focal point in this painting. After a year of painting only flowers, the dog in "Rear Window" was fun to paint. It's not that I'm sick of painting flowers - not by a long shot - it's just that now I'm trying some new subjects. Look for figures and faces to appear soon in my work, and who knows, maybe even a landscape.
