New paintings, hot off the easel, and some thoughts on art and life ...

Almost done! This week I've been refining some of the flowers, working on background and tweaking colors. I still need to finalize a few flowers, then the whole painting has to sit for a while. It sits in my studio while I sit and stare at it. I stew over what it needs, or if it's finished. Sometimes deciding when a painting is finished is the hardest part.

The photo above is only the center panel of the triptych, but it shows up better on a blog post. Below is the whole triptych as it is today, nearly finished.
