New paintings, hot off the easel, and some thoughts on art and life ...

It was slow going for a while, but I finally finished my large cherry blossom nocturne. I've found that some paintings develop more slowly than others and it's best not to rush things. This one was a slow poke, but I was happy with it in the end.

It's been fun to paint large for a while. This painting, and also "Persephone's Dream" and "The Midnight Garden" are all large by my standards, but soon I'll turn back to small paintings for my 30 in 30 challenge.
