New paintings, hot off the easel, and some thoughts on art and life ...

It's been a week since I posted, so you've probably been wondering what I've been up to. A little painting, but also a lot of homework. By that I mean looking at carpet samples, trying to choose the right paint colors, finding new curtains. Worth it in the end, but time consuming!

This painting is the first in what I hope will be a series of three related sunflower paintings. Stay tuned!
