New paintings, hot off the easel, and some thoughts on art and life ...

"Sea and Sky"  is my fourth flower mandala. It didn't start out as an ocean-inspired painting - that theme developed after the central flower became more and more wild, petals floating and moving like a sea anemone. My palette was already blue and green, so after that it all flowed to the sea, so to speak. Who knows where inspiration comes from? All we need to do is be open to it!
