New paintings, hot off the easel, and some thoughts on art and life ...

MadArt at the Triton Museum

Farewell to Summer is a painting I made as part of my Artist's Year in the Garden project, and now I'm donating it to the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara. It will be part of a silent auction in the Triton's annual spring Gala. This year the theme is inspired by Mad Men, so I'll be dressed in something that could fit in the sixties, probably a paisley silk sheath dress. Wonder if I could get my hair in a teased-up French twist like January Jones wore in the episode where she went to Italy. But I digress ...

If you're in the area please stop by and see all the art at the Triton! And if you like this painting but can't be at the Gala, check out more of my flower paintings here.
